Lily Cardenas Sanchez

QZI MANDALA

QZI MANDALA was designed in recognition of those women and men around the world who, for Lily, have left a positive and lasting impression as a gift to the world. This tribute is based on describing their personalities through the color and shape of beautiful mandalas inspired by the resonant qualities of each character.

Some of the individuals representing Colombia are Catherine Ibargüen, as a stunning athlete, whose happiness and positivism inspired her. Dr. Ángela Restrepo, a dreamy scientist, and exemplary woman. Towards the northern hemisphere, Barack Obama as an example that of empathy and human maturity in the political sphere. From Europe, the sweet Andrea Bocelli with his air of sensitivity and passion. Immediately, from the Balkans, born in Macedonia, she was influenced by Mother Teresa of Calcutta due to her love and service to the people.

From South Asia, Pakistan and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Malala Yousafzai, who represents femininity and courage. Along with the teacher Deepak Chopra from India, who reflects a mandala related standpoint to peace, knowledge and meditation. Last but not least, the daring Japanese, surrealist illustrator and magical film director Hayao Miyazaki and his character Kaonashi.

PROFILE

GRAPHIC DESIGNER AND ILLUSTRATOR

Lily Cárdenas Sanchez, who is a graphic designer and illustrator, can be considered a true 21st-century leader due to her charismatic, kind, tender, and go-getter personality. Due to her passion for the history of art and universal literature, she has a Proustian outlook that she applies in her creative processes of each project, from the initial sketch to the final result. Religiously, she believes that graphic solutions are not a random matter, but the sum of a series of notions that are forged and meditated, literally, only in the gut. She is the founder of Qzi Mandala.

Esbinote

The origin of the name ESBINOTE is an acronym in Spanish that means: Innovative Natural Oniric Tendente Expressive Biped Sensorory Station.

Esbinote has a point of view of his work as a method of self-knowledge, thus immersing himself in his inner world, as there is also a great influence through the exploration of the senses. A sensory amalgam that generates its own internal synesthesia where the characters are permanently engendered sheltered by duality and irony: who may be happily dying, characters who smile but full of discomfort, who complain without sympathy, others who have sex while praying, chained winged beings. Proud but weak, sick, vain, empty characters, as well as passionate dying and others who live without passion. Belonging to a generation that is in permanent moral and religious ambiguity.

ESBINOTE in his works reflects his constant search for visual hedonism, as well as the existence of an attempt to spiritualize matter. All of this being basically "the vital expression of a generation" that questions the artist who he is and in what context he is in.

This is how he interprets the human being, as an idea in the way a radio station transmits ideas in a fluctuating universe, being at the same time a receptive station for permanent influences of transformation. As with any artist in his personal life story, the early childhood that is revealed from the illustrator's unconscious in his visual language has a great influence. His unconscious is revealed and amalgamated in a new way with his current perceptions to give life to little characters and new universes.

This artistic expression, graphic illustration, is the new pictorial art through which the artist can transmit the different influential trends in his plastic art. These being as varied as the human being himself is in his immanence. Techniques, theories and concepts as varied as character design, modern surrealism, cubism, as well as erotic art that can be evidenced in his body painting works, and street graffiti also has had a great influence in his career. So, he defines Psychographies as well as part of the final of his work, spontaneous ideas of the moment that complement the work and essentially the paradoxical and ironic complexity of the simplicity of abstract art.
